A reminder on this second day of 2025 that the Bible Rebel Project, which includes the biblerebel.com blog, is non-denominational. We are ‘Nons’, believing a simple creed:
Creed of the Fellowship of the Nons
Our living God is a loving God and the Bible is His revealed word and will.
Our hope and eternal salvation relies entirely on the work of God’s only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life.
A huge part of the purpose and reason for the Bible Rebel blog is stated in our mission:
“To examine and question the assumptions of religious tradition and provide a resource for information and inspiration for people of faith who have become dissatisfied with an increasingly lifeless and empty ‘churchianity’.”
This isn’t a church and there is no membership requirement or set of rules. All are welcome to be a part of this fellowship, this ‘curious fearless faith’, and this ongoing project of seeking and glorifying God and God only.
Child of God, husband, father, grandfather, rabblerouser, songwriter, pot stirrer, waiting for the King.
You say you are a NON. I assume that mean non-denominational. In other words, you don’t go to a church, and you reject some of the traditional Christian teachings. But you agree with most of their basic premises about the bible and Christianity such as its inerrancy, its univocality, the resurrection, the creation story, Jesus as savior, sola scriptura, etc. etc. You are a part of the Christian religion. You can play with words all you want but your beliefs are a religion. You are a Christian.
I am a part of the fast-growing group called NONES or non-religiously affiliated. We do not care for ANY religion including Christianity. NO RELIGION. NONE. That includes your Christian views as well. I am not an atheist. I have a relationship with God that is personal and not written is some antiquated holy book like the bible or the Quaran, both of whom claim their holy book is the Word of God. Neither are in my opinion.
Here is an article showing that Christianity is declining rapidly while NONES are rapidly growing. Copy this into your browser.

To quote:
“Meanwhile, all subsets of the religiously unaffiliated population – a group also known as religious “nones” – have seen their numbers swell.”
In my opinion this is a good trend and one which I hope continues. One does not need religion to be a good, moral person. one does not need religion to know right from wrong. Religion, on the other hand, has been at the root of many of the worlds a problems and atrocities throughout the ages.
